About Alocasia Suhirmaniana Aurea

Alocasia Suhirmaniana Aurea is a truly special collector’s Alocasia known for its unusual foliage and striking golden variegation. The leaves have a distinctive rounded shape with beautiful texture, while the aurea colouring appears as soft yellow to golden tones across the deep green leaf surface.

As the plant matures, the contrast between the dark foliage and golden variegation becomes even more dramatic, making this a standout piece in any rare plant collection.

The plant offered here is the exact specimen shown in the photographs. It is currently growing in a perlite-based mix while establishing a healthy root system in controlled indoor conditions.

Young Alocasia will continue to develop stronger roots and larger leaves as they settle and mature in their new environment.

Natural variation in growth and variegation should be expected as the plant continues to develop.

Basic care guidance

Light

Bright indirect light is ideal to maintain healthy growth and encourage strong variegation. Avoid harsh direct sunlight.

Water

Keep the growing medium lightly moist but never waterlogged. Allow slight drying between watering.

Humidity

Alocasia appreciate higher humidity while establishing, although they will adapt well to normal household conditions once settled.

Temperature

Warm conditions between 20–25°C are ideal for steady growth.

Feeding

Once actively growing, feed lightly with a diluted fertiliser during the growing season.
