Tissue Culture Plant Pre-Order – Expected Arrival Around 22nd to 24th June

Please read the full description before ordering.

Please dont order any other products other than the tissue culture, domes / substrate with this order as it will travel special delivery.

These tissue culture plantlets are expected to arrive around 22nd June, although this date may vary slightly depending on international shipping, customs clearance and DEFRA inspections.

Each plantlet will arrive in its own sealed sterile tissue culture packet containing nutrient gel. These are not fully established plants and will require acclimatisation before being grown as normal houseplants.

Important Information

🌱 Tissue culture plantlets require specialist aftercare.

🌱 If you require humidity dome cups, perlite, stratum or other acclimatisation supplies, these must be purchased separately.

🌱 Plantlets will vary in size, root development and leaf count.

🌱 Some varieties acclimatise very easily, whilst others can be more challenging.

🌱 By purchasing, you acknowledge that you are buying a tissue culture plantlet and accept responsibility for its acclimatisation and ongoing care once delivered.

Postage

📦 All tissue culture orders will be sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery to ensure they reach their new homes as quickly as possible.

Orders will normally be dispatched the same day or next working day after arrival and processing.

How To Acclimatise Your Tissue Culture Plant

Step 1 – Remove From The Sterile Packet

Carefully remove the plantlet from its packet as soon as possible after arrival.

Step 2 – Clean Off The Gel

Using lukewarm water, gently wash away all traces of the tissue culture gel. A blusher / makeup brush is ideal to help remove stubborn gel from around roots and stems without causing damage.

Step 3 – Pot Into Your Chosen Mix

Place the cleaned plantlet into a lightly damp acclimatisation mix.

My preferred mix is:

• Perlite

• Stratum

The medium should be damp but never waterlogged.

Step 4 – Maintain High Humidity

Place the plant inside a humidity dome, propagation cup or enclosed container.

High humidity is essential during the early stages of acclimatisation.

Step 5 – Wait For New Growth

Keep humidity high until you see signs of active growth such as:

• New leaves

• Root growth

• General improvement in vigour

This is often around 2–3 weeks but can vary significantly depending on species. Leave them alone during this time.

Step 6 – Gradually Reduce Humidity

Once active growth is visible:

• Open the dome for around 5 minutes per day initially.

• Gradually increase ventilation over several weeks.

• Continue increasing airflow until the plant is fully adapted to normal room humidity.

Many plants complete this process in around 5–6 weeks, although slower-growing species can take considerably longer.

Growing Conditions

Most tissue culture plants appreciate:

🌿 Bright indirect light

🌿 Warm temperatures

🌿 Stable conditions

🌿 Good humidity

🌿 Gentle airflow

Avoid direct sunlight, cold drafts and sudden environmental changes during acclimatisation.

Returns & Responsibility

All plantlets are checked before dispatch.

Once your order has been delivered safely to the address provided, responsibility for acclimatisation and ongoing care passes to the buyer.

Due to the specialist nature of tissue culture plants and the many environmental factors involved in acclimatisation, refunds or replacements cannot be offered for losses occurring after delivery.

By purchasing, you confirm that you understand the requirements of tissue culture plants and accept responsibility for their care after arrival.
