About Colocasia ‘Pharaoh’s Mask’

Colocasia ‘Pharaoh’s Mask’ is a striking and unusual Elephant Ear variety known for its dramatic textured foliage. As the plant matures, the leaves develop a distinctive sculpted appearance with raised veins that create a bold, almost armour-like pattern across the leaf surface.

This unique structure gives the plant its memorable name and makes it a real statement piece for collectors who enjoy unusual foliage plants.

The plants offered here are young, healthy specimens grown from tissue culture and currently establishing strong roots. They will be sent potted in a 5–7cm pot containing a perlite growing mix, allowing the roots to continue developing while maintaining excellent drainage and airflow.

Each plant will continue to grow and strengthen as it settles into its new home.

Natural variation in size and leaf shape should be expected with young plants.

Bright indirect light is ideal. Colocasia also tolerate gentle morning sun once established.

Water

Keep the growing medium consistently moist. Colocasia enjoy more moisture than many houseplants.

Humidity

Average to higher humidity will support faster growth.

Temperature

Warm conditions between 20–28°C are ideal for healthy development.

Feeding

Once established, feed regularly during active growth to encourage larger leaves.

As the plant matures, the leaves will grow larger and begin to show the dramatic sculpted texture that makes this variety so distinctive.
