About the Monstera Lemon Lime

Monstera Lemon Lime is a bright and cheerful twist on the classic Monstera, loved for its vibrant lime-green foliage. Unlike the deeper green tones of a standard Monstera deliciosa, this variety grows in a much lighter, fresher shade of green that really stands out in a collection.

As the plant matures, the leaves will grow larger and begin developing the iconic Monstera splits and fenestrations, creating a bold tropical look while keeping that unique citrus-toned colour.

This plant is currently being grown in a perlite and stratum mix in a controlled environment of 100% humidity at temperatures of around 18°C at night and up to 23°C while it develops its own root system. I expect this to take around 4 weeks until new roots are visible, after which the acclimatisation process will begin.

This listing allows you to secure this exact plant now while it continues to establish.

Plants will be grown on and only dispatched once they have a strong, visible root system and are fully acclimatised to normal indoor conditions.

Choosing to wait until full acclimatisation, your plant will be nurtured specifically for a home-to-home environment. These plants are not grown in glasshouses and immediately shipped out after travelling long distances. Instead, they are given time to settle, grow new roots and adjust to normal indoor conditions before leaving me. You’ll also be able to see the established root system before dispatch, so there are no hidden surprises from stressed or rotting plants. This greatly reduces transport shock and helps your plant transition more smoothly into your home.

Basic care guidance once home

Light

Bright, indirect light will help maintain the vibrant lime colouring and encourage strong growth. Avoid harsh direct sun.

Water

Keep the growing mix lightly moist but never soggy. Allow the top layer to begin drying slightly between watering.

Humidity

This plant will appreciate warmth and gentle humidity while young as it settles into its new home.

Feeding

Begin feeding lightly once established, using a weak, diluted feed during active growth.

As with all young plants, natural variation in growth and colour should be expected as the plant matures.

When it is time to ship, your plant will be carefully packed in a thermal box with a heat pack to ensure it arrives safely and in good condition.
