About the Monstera Bulbasaur
Monstera Bulbasaur is a highly collectible Monstera loved for its soft marbled variegation in shades of creamy yellow and fresh green. Each leaf develops its own unique pattern, making every plant completely individual.
As the plant matures, the leaves will grow larger and begin to develop the iconic Monstera splits and fenestrations, creating a bold and eye-catching statement plant over time. Its stable variegation and rarity make it especially desirable for collectors.
This plant is currently growing in a perlite and stratum mix in a controlled environment. It has been gradually acclimatised from 100% humidity with daily lid openings towards normal home humidity of around 55%, with temperatures ranging from approximately 18°C at night up to 23°C during the day. The root system is developing beautifully.
This listing allows you to secure this exact plant while it completes the final stages of acclimatisation.
By allowing this final stage of acclimatisation, your plant is nurtured specifically for a true home-to-home environment. These plants are not grown in glasshouses and immediately shipped after travelling long distances. Instead, they are given time to settle, grow fresh roots and adjust to normal indoor conditions before leaving me.
You’ll also be able to see the established root system before dispatch, so there are no hidden surprises from stressed or rotting plants. This greatly reduces transport shock and helps your plant transition more smoothly into your home.
Basic care guidance once home
Light
Bright, indirect light will help maintain variegation and support healthy growth. Avoid harsh direct sun.
Water
Keep the growing mix lightly moist but never soggy. Allow the top layer to begin drying slightly between watering.
Humidity
This plant appreciates warmth and gentle humidity while settling into its new home.
Feeding
Begin feeding lightly once established, using a weak, diluted feed during active growth.
As with all young plants, natural variation in growth and variegation should be expected as the plant matures.
When it is time to ship, your plant will be carefully packed, if cold temperatures then in a thermal box with a heat pack to ensure it arrives safely and in good condition.
