Philodendron Tortum exact plant in its 7cm pot
Photos taken 11th April.
About the Philodendron Tortum Variegated
Philodendron Tortum Variegated is a truly striking and unusual plant. Unlike typical philodendrons, its leaves are long, narrow and deeply divided into fine, finger-like segments, giving it a dramatic, almost skeletal appearance. Creamy variegation across the deep green foliage makes each leaf completely unique.
As the plant matures, the leaves become more elongated and architectural, creating a bold, sculptural look that stands out in any collection. Because of its unusual leaf shape and rare variegation, it is highly sought after by collectors.
Over the past few weeks, the leaves have doubled in size, showing strong, healthy growth and excellent progress.
This plant is currently growing in a perlite and stratum mix in a warm indoor environment (approximately 18–23°C).
Climatised to a home-to-home environment. These plants are not grown in glasshouses and shipped immediately after long-distance travel. Instead, they are given time to stabilise and adjust to indoor conditions before leaving me, reducing stress and supporting a smoother transition into your home.
Basic care guidance once home
Light
Bright, indirect light is ideal. Good light helps maintain healthy growth and supports stable variegation. Avoid strong direct sun.
Water
Keep the growing mix lightly moist but never soggy. Allow slight drying at the top between watering.
Humidity
Appreciates warmth and gentle humidity while establishing.
Feeding
Begin feeding lightly once established, using a weak, diluted feed during active growth.
As with all young plants, natural variation in growth and variegation should be expected as the plant matures.
When it is time to ship, your plant will be carefully packed with a heat pack if needed to ensure it arrives safely and in good condition.
