About Tacca chantrieri – Black Bat Flower

Tacca chantrieri, commonly known as the Black Bat Flower, is one of the most unusual and fascinating tropical plants. The dramatic flowers resemble a bat in flight, with deep purple to almost black petals and long whisker-like bracts that can grow impressively long.

When in bloom, the flowers create a striking and exotic display that makes this plant a real conversation piece for collectors.

The plants offered here are young specimens currently growing and acclimatising in controlled indoor conditions while developing their root systems.

This listing allows you to secure one of the plants now while they complete their final stage of acclimatisation before moving to their new homes.

Because this listing is for a selected plant from the batch, natural variation in size and leaf shape should be expected.
