About Alocasia Cuprea Nom Yen
Alocasia Cuprea Nom Yen is a beautiful and unusual Alocasia known for its delicate foliage and striking colour contrast. The leaves often show soft green tones mixed with pale or creamy colouring, while new growth can display gentle pink shades that give the plant its distinctive character.
This particular plant has been growing and acclimatising with me since February, allowing it time to settle and develop in normal home conditions rather than being shipped straight from a high humidity environment.
The plant offered here is the exact specimen shown in the photographs and is currently growing in a perlite-based mix while maintaining a healthy root system.
Young Alocasia will continue to strengthen and produce larger leaves as they establish further.
Natural variation in growth and colour should be expected as the plant matures.
Basic care guidance
Light
Bright indirect light is ideal. Avoid harsh direct sunlight.
Water
Keep the growing medium lightly moist but avoid waterlogging. Allow slight drying between watering.
Humidity
Alocasia appreciate moderate humidity while establishing.
Temperature
Warm conditions between 20–25°C are ideal for steady growth.
Feeding
Once actively growing, feed lightly with a diluted fertiliser during the growing season.
Your plant will be carefully packaged for shipping and a heat pack will be included if temperatures require it to ensure it arrives safely.
