Rare Tissue Culture Plants – Flight 5th November 2026 Pre-Order
Something exciting is coming to Chop n Grow!
Following requests for more unusual and collectable varieties, I've put together a lovely selection of rare tissue culture plants for you to grow and enjoy.
These plants are being offered in their original, sealed sterile tissue culture bags, giving you the opportunity to experience the rewarding process of growing your own plants from tissue culture.
Simply choose your favourite variety from the options available.
Expected arrival and dispatch
Our shipment is scheduled to fly on 5th November 2026, with arrival shortly afterwards.
As these plants are being imported, the exact arrival date cannot be guaranteed and will depend on shipping and customs clearance.
Once the plants have arrived and are ready for dispatch, orders will be sent on the next available working day.
All orders will be sent using Royal Mail Tracked 24 or Special Delivery, depending on the value of the order, to help minimise the time your plants spend in transit. £6.99 is for the Tracked, so if you would like to upgrade to Special Delivery please drop me a message.
Please remember that Tracked 24 is not a guaranteed next-day service.
What will I receive?
You will receive your chosen tissue culture plant in its original, sealed sterile bag, ready for you to begin the acclimatisation process at home.
Please note: The photographs are reference images showing how these varieties can look as they mature. They are not photographs of the individual tissue culture plantlets you will receive.
Your plants will be much smaller than the stock photos which are mature plant images, and their appearance, colouring and variegation may vary as they develop.
Acclimatising your tissue culture plants
Tissue culture plants need to be carefully acclimatised when removed from their sterile environment.
For customers growing their own, I recommend NurtureSystem Ex Vitro, which I use here at Chop n Grow during the acclimatisation process, you can find them here 👇
https://chopngrow.co.uk/products/nurturesystem-x-vitro-tissue-culture-acclimation?_pos=1&_psq=vite&_psid=4e36a06b6&_ss=e
I also recommend using a suitable enclosed propagation tub or humidity dome with perlite and Stratum to help maintain a controlled, humid environment while your plants adjust, again you can find here 👇
https://chopngrow.co.uk/search?q=dome&options%5Bprefix%5D=last
Please familiarise yourself with the acclimatisation process before opening your sterile bags. I will send you information to help make this process be as smooth as possible. But personally i reccoment the above products to give the best start.
Once opened, the plantlets need appropriate care and growing conditions as they will no longer be sterile nor survive in the packets.
Prefer your plant fully acclimatised?
Some varieties will also be staying here at Chop n Grow to go through the full acclimatisation process.
If there's a particular plant you'd prefer to receive fully acclimatised rather than in its original sterile bag, please message me directly to discuss availability and arrangements.
An additional £25 acclimatisation charge applies. These plants will be dispatched separately once they've successfully completed the process and are ready to travel.
A little reminder
These are living plants, and tissue culture acclimatisation requires patience and care. Growth rates and variegation will naturally vary between individual plants.
Quantities are limited, so once a variety has sold out, it may not be available again for some time.
Thank you for supporting Chop n Grow and happy growing!
Jo 💚
