When I moved on from Monsteras, Philodendrons quickly became my new love. There’s just something about those unusual leaf shapes—some are jagged and compact, while others grow tall and lush. I love their big, cushiony leaves and all the different kinds of variegation they come with, from little speckles to bold patterns.
As for care, they’re honestly pretty easygoing. I keep mine in self-watering pots so I can tell when they need a drink, but they’re just as happy in soil as long as you don’t let them dry out too much. Just feed them now and then, and they’ll do great. Really, they’re a low-fuss, high-reward kind of plant
