Blue sticky traps are an excellent way to monitor for thrips and other infestations before it becomes a major problem. Thrips are attracted to the blue colour and become trapped on the adhesive surface, making it easy to identify their presence.

These traps can also help reduce adult thrips numbers by catching flying insects before they have chance to breed and spread further. They are particularly useful when used alongside a treatment plan, helping to catch surviving adults while other control methods target larvae and eggs.

For best results, place traps close to affected plants or around new arrivals and check them regularly. The appearance of thrips on a trap can provide an early warning sign, allowing you to take action before significant plant damage occurs.

Please note that sticky traps alone will not eliminate a thrips infestation, as they do not affect eggs or immature stages hidden within the plant. They are most effective when used as part of an integrated pest management approach.
