It is recommended that an outer decorative shade isn't used as this can effect the lifespan of the bulb making its temperature increase also. 

All bulbs have unique codes to be able to identify where they were dispatched from.

Warranty is 1 year from purchase, if your bulb fails to work in that time i will need to see the reference number and an image of the bulb as you would looking into the bulb whilst it is obviously off in your hand and then i can connect with Sansi for them to check the details as to weather the warranty is valid. Apologies for having to do this but due to some dishonesty it is the only fair way to process the situation.
